Estimation of Greenhouse Gas Emission from Municipal Solid Waste Incinerators toward a Decarbonized Society

本研究では,2050 年までの京都市の都市ごみ焼却施設からの温室効果ガス (GHG) 排出量を推計した。都市ごみ組成別の特性値分析と GHG 排出量の試算モデル構築を行なった上で,BaU (S1),ごみ減少 (S2),+バイオマスプラスチック導入 (S3),+発電効率向上 (S4),+メタンコンバインドシステム導入 (S5) のシナリオ,これらに電力 CO2 排出係数の減少を考慮したシナリオ (S1-6~S5-6) も設定し,将来の 排出量を評価した。この結果,S4 までの対策で 2050 年までに 実質排出量を 0 以下にできると考えられた。しかし S1-6~S5-6 では電力消費および発電による 排出・削減がほぼなくなり,最も低くなった S5-6 であっても S1 比で 15.2 % 減に留まり,2050 年に実質排出量を 以下とするには,CO2 直接排出量のうち少なくとも 20.3 を回収・貯留する必要があることが明らかとなった。
